Problem with insertgrid code within JCE

Hello,

Our website has been moved to a new VPS server.
After some problems all seems running again quite well.
But there remains a problem with displaying articles in the frontend that contain an insertgrid code within JCE. The server delivers blank pages.
As soon as you remove the insertgrid code from an article within JCE the pages show up allright.

On the old server (hosted website) there was no such problem.
Connecting to the database we need to query is no problem in the backend of the grid component.
The only peculiar thing is that changes in the grid configuration are not saved. Might have something to do with file and map permissions?! But I don't know if this relates to the blank pages problem.

Does anyone have a clue or a workaround?! I hope so.
