I have the same problem as a year ago. I just can't find the en_GB.com_grid file in administrator/language/en-GB. So I'm forced to use the GB translation, which isn't nice.... Hope you have a solution?
I am almost sure that it should be there. I know it is a silly question, but are you sure that you are looking on the right place and your directory view is refreshed? Which version of Joomla are you using?
