I want to be able to have an article ? that shows summerized information from my database table and lets me investigate the data behind it, So
I have a table that has sales information in it, with fields like salesperson, date, what was sold, number, cost, profit, commission.
I want to show a form/table that lists, say each month of the year the totals for an individual, I want to be able to click on one and for that to show another form/table that lists the details of the sale behind it.
Can I do this using tools JX
Thanks

Hi,
According to your description something like this can not be achieved by only using Table JX, but many things can be achieved by using database views (i.e. lists of totals). Table JX can be than use to display those views. Some linking functionality is also provided, which can be used to connect one view to details view for example.

Sorry I am not sure I understand.
Are you saying if I use database views as well as jtools I can get what I want ?
thanks
Clive

I would say, if you use Table JX in combination with database views, you can get close to what you want.

Hi,
I am not sure what "you can get close to what you want." means.
I can set up a view that holds the month of the year and all totals for an individual
Can I click onto somewhere on the line that shows that information and open up a new perhaps modal window or new article that shows all the information for that individual for that month (all the sales records)
If jtools can do that I will buy it, if it cannot, it is not what I want, I do not mind "close to" but if it is not close enough will I get a refund ?
Regards
Clive

Hi,
You can create a database view that holds the month of the year and all totals for an individual. But a little bit of SQL knowledge is needed for this.
You can also set up a link on each record in the database to another article with another table and apply one filter condition depending on the values from the first table.
You will get a refund if you do not get close enough.
