Product Installed, but cannot access it [Solved]

Hi,

I believe my product installed correctly. Under components I see the picture and the word "Grid". I can also see "Editor" and "Content" plugins and they are enabled.

However, when I go to components and choose "Grid", I am taken to an Internet Error page:
"Internet Explorer Cannot Display the Page"

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi,

we are investigating your problem.

First guess would be if you don't have permissions set up correctly.

Second guess, the installation was not successful due to incomplete download: IE browser issue or network problem.
Try to install from file from Customer Area.

Hi,

Thank you for the quick response, it's truly appreciated.

I tried a fresh download and install - I used the .rar method because I'm using IE, with the same result.

I then tried changing permissions - it's possible I'm not doing this step correctly. I basically googled how to change permissions and started playing around with various directories with no change in result.

Is there perhaps specific directories I should be changing that I may have missed?

Just a bit more information. I uninstalled everything and installed version 4 and got the same error. Everything seems to load properly, but I simply can't access the component (even though it shows up in my component list)

Hi again,

I looked through several other posts on this forum and this time I am sure I have set my permissions correctly. Still no luck.

Is IE configured to allow JavaScript?
Did you try with Mozilla Firefox.

I just have read similar problems:
forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=429&t=294874

Maybe if you just try to install test site, fresh joomla install. If there is ok then joomla settings are the problem, else settings on the server.

Still looking for solution...

Best regards,
Viljem
