Can Table JX do this

Hi, I am looking for a module/plugin for Joomla 1.6 that can show the field used for sorting as a tableheader. The reason for this need is that I have a (large) calendar with events worldwide. Use may sort the list by different criteria, but having for instance Country repeated in each line is not a pretty sight. So, if user sort by Country, the list should look like this:

CANADA
Calgary, event a
Edmonton, event b
FRANCE
Bordeaux, event b
Caen, Event a

If user then sort by event, he should get :

EVENT A
Canada, Calgary
France, Caen
EVENT B
Canada, Edmonton
France, Bordeaux

Can Table JX be customised like this?

Thanks, I'll probably look for another solution as I expect to have many countries - and I also want to be able to group by other fields than just country, in fact I would like a module or plugin that can automaticly use the selected sort filed for grouping.
