Front-End Download Data Option

One for the wish-list....

Could there be an option to show on the front end table view a 'DOWNLOAD' button to get the displayed data in a CSV / XLS or similar type file? Not sure how complex that would be to do but it's a feature on something else I've used in the past...

If it would be of any help I have a Joomla module that will read from a DB table / CSV table and then offer download options from what it produces. You could have a look through that code - although of course might be easier to do it from nothing than work out the logic of other code. Just thought I'd offer in case it helped.
