Hi, I'm looking for an Extension to Joomla that allows me to connect to an external database (on the same server, but not the joomla database). It is MySQL. I need to be able to execute queries, modify the results and format them with PHP, and then display the results in a very usable way within a Joomla Article. I have Mysql 5.1x, Joomla 3.x and PHP. I have tried to run JDatabase to connect to a database with no luck using DirectPHP extension. I get errors (which appear to be within the extension itself).
What extension do you think would work if it will not. THanks
