I think your component is very, very nice and easy to use. Just the linkable content part is not entirely clear (yet) to me. But I coped without it, by making a grid per category, distinguishing with the WHERE statement, putting the grids in an Article, and than linking the Articles to a submenu item.
What I would like to ask now: I have a trilingual site (NL/FR/EN) and was wondering whether you have any plans on translating your component?
I for one could help with NL/FR.
